Dobson Factory Fire

The St James' community is greatly saddened by news that a fire has destroyed a major part of the factory of Dobson Organ Builders at Lake City, Iowa, USA. First and foremost, we are grateful that no one was seriously injured in the fire; one worker who suffered burns is expected to make a full recovery. We are in contact with the company president, Mr John Panning, about our organ project and will keep our donors and supporters updated as news comes to hand.

The Chair of the St James' Organ Replacement & Restoration Appeal Committee, Mr Robert Marriott, sent this letter to donors following news of the fire that destroyed the Dobson factory.
